Clean Water, Safe Schools, Brighter Futures: The Illasit WASH Project

Imagine a child walking into school knowing there is safe drinking water, clean toilets, and proper handwashing facilities. Imagine families no longer worrying about waterborne diseases because they have access to clean and safe water. This is the future G-MSF is working to build through the Illasit WASH Project.

In the heart of Illasit, Kajiado County, hundreds of children face challenges that no learner should have to endure. Every school day, the lack of clean water, inadequate sanitation, and unsafe learning facilities affect their health, dignity, and education.
The Illasit WASH Project is a comprehensive initiative designed to change this reality by providing:
💧 A reliable borehole and clean water supply for the school and surrounding community.
🏫 Refurbished and safe classrooms where learners can study in a secure, conducive environment.
🚻 Modern sanitation facilities, handwashing stations, and menstrual hygiene management facilities to promote health, dignity, and school attendance—especially for girls.

Access to clean water is more than a basic necessity. It improves health, keeps children in school, supports better academic performance, and strengthens entire communities. Safe sanitation protects lives, while quality learning environments give every child the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream in a safe and healthy environment. Through the Illasit WASH Project, we are not just constructing infrastructure—we are creating lasting change that will benefit generations to come.
