Climate Action

Why are our seasons Changing?

Have you noticed that rains sometimes arrive late, last longer than expected, or fail when we need them most? Have you wondered why some days are unusually hot?Climate change is one of the reasons our weather patterns are changing.
● Rising temperatures affect how water evaporates and how weather systems behave.
● Deforestation reduces tree cover, which helps regulate local temperatures and supports the water cycle.
● Greenhouse gas emissions from human activities trap more heat in the atmosphere, contributing to global warming.
●Changing rainfall patterns can increase the risk of droughts, floods and challenges for farmers and communities.

In Kenya, these changes affect our food production, water supply, livelihoods and the environment.

At G-MSF, we know that protecting our environment is a shared responsibility. It is our duty to ; Plant and protect trees, Conserve water, Manage waste responsibly, Protect rivers, wetlands and forests, Support climate-smart practices in our communities.
