Through these efforts, the Greater Georgia Black Chamber of Commerce (GGBCC) has generously offered complimentary Chamber memberships, valued at over USD 1.7 million, to women entrepreneurs participating in our community empowerment initiatives.
The beneficiaries include:

1. 8,500 women entrepreneurs drawn from all the 85 wards of Nairobi County, who are directly participating in the Nairobi Women Peace Cup Tournament 2026/2027.

2. 100 women entrepreneurs from Loitokitok, Kajiado County.

3. 100 women entrepreneurs from Mbugiti, Murang’a County.

4. 100 women entrepreneurs from Kisii County.

These complimentary memberships will provide participants with:
-International business visibility.
-Access to global networking opportunities.
-Business development resources and mentorship.
-Opportunities to explore international markets and strategic partnerships.

This initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration in empowering women economically while promoting peace, unity, and community development through sports and entrepreneurship.

Football, Friendship, and Peace: Women Unite Beyond the Scoreline

Despite the cold weather, nothing could stop these incredible women from showing up, having fun, and championing peace.

Yesterday, women from Dagoretti North and Starehe Constituency came together at Ngara Grounds for a friendly football match as part of the ongoing preparations for the Nairobi Women Peace Tournament.

The match ended Dagoretti North 9 – Starehe 2, but this was never about the scoreline. It was about bringing women together to promote peace, unity, social cohesion, friendship, and healthy living. Every team emerged a winner because the greatest victory was strengthening the bonds that unite our communities.

These remarkable women continue to demonstrate that sport is a powerful tool for bringing people together. Through football, they are staying active, building lasting friendships, improving their physical and mental well-being, and proving that healthy living has no age limit.

Through the Nairobi Women Peace Tournament, women are becoming ambassadors of peace—using the power of sport to inspire their families, strengthen their communities, and foster a culture of peaceful coexistence, respect, and inclusion.

Gakami Mustard Seed Foundation (G-MSF), in partnership with the Community Relations Foundation (CRF), is proud to champion this transformative initiative. Empowering Youth Through Education and Skills

It was a joyful day as our Founder, Dr. Margaret Gakami Wanjuhi, ASP, Commander Dagoretti South, joined International Youth Fellowship (IYF) – Kawangware Branch during their Season Graduation Rehearsal, where students are preparing to graduate with certificates in various skills.

Every certificate tells a story of hard work, resilience, and hope. Through education and skills training, these young people are gaining the knowledge and confidence to build sustainable livelihoods, support their families, and become positive changemakers in their communities.

Addressing the students, Dr. Margaret Gakami encouraged them to put God first, pursue their dreams with courage, work smart, continue learning, and invest wisely in their future. She reminded them that no human is limited—with faith, discipline, determination, and the right mindset, every challenge can become an opportunity.

At G-MSF, we believe education is one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives. When combined with practical skills and strong values, it empowers young people to unlock their full potential.

That’s exactly what the Nairobi Women Peace Tournament is championing.

Gakami Mustard Seed Foundation (G-MSF), in partnership with Community Relations Foundation is at the forefront of planning, organizing, and implementing this transformative initiative. Education First: The Path to Ending Poverty

To eradicate poverty, education must come first.

Kenya’s Vision 2030 recognizes quality education as a cornerstone of poverty reduction, social equity, and sustainable socio-economic development. Every investment we make in a child’s education today is an investment in a more prosperous and inclusive tomorrow.

A heartbreaking video from Prumotoi Primary School in Parua, Batei Ward, Pokot South, West Pokot, shows young children repairing their own classrooms with mud while singing prayers to God, asking for His help. No child should have to rebuild a classroom simply to have a place to learn.

If these learners are studying under such difficult conditions, one can only imagine the many other challenges they face—from inadequate classrooms and learning materials to school uniforms, food insecurity, and other basic necessities. Every child deserves a safe, dignified learning environment where they can develop their potential and pursue their dreams.

*1000 trained Peace & Safety Ambassadors

Many women silently carry the burden of stress, anxiety, depression, and the pressures of daily life while caring for their families and communities. Through this tournament, we are creating safe spaces where women can connect, heal, build resilience, and become champions of peace.

We were honored to be hosted at the Dagoretti South Sub-County Commander’s Office and appreciate the warm reception from Dr Margaret Gakami Wanjuhi APS, the Dagoretti South Sub-County Commander.

Compassion in Action: Honouring a Life Through Community Service

Today, our Founder and CEO Dr. Margaret Gakami Wanjuhi joined Climate Works Riruta in a community cleaning exercise held in honor of a fallen colleague who had been part of their team since 2024.

This was more than just a cleaning exercise…it was a powerful reminder that strong communities are built on compassion, unity, and showing up for one another, especially during difficult times.

In moments of loss, community becomes our strength. By standing together, supporting one another, and serving our neighborhoods, we not only honor those we have lost but also continue their legacy through meaningful action.

At GMSF, we believe community empowerment goes beyond programs and projects; it is about fostering care, empathy, and collective responsibility. When we come together with compassion, we create safer, cleaner, and stronger communities for everyone.

Behind every unemployment statistic is a young person with dreams, talents, and untapped potential. A graduate searching endlessly for opportunity. A skilled artisan lacking capital to start. A teenager turning to drugs to escape frustration, rejection, or despair.

The rising cases of drug and substance abuse among our youth are not just personal struggles—they are a national crisis. Drugs are stealing dreams, destroying families, increasing crime, and weakening the social fabric of our communities.

In the spirit of community empowerment, youth empowerment, and child welfare, we had the privilege of joining Children’s Garden Home and School in celebrating 25 years of impact and service to the community.

Led by our founder and director, Dr Margaret Gakami Wanjuhi the celebration served as a powerful reminder of the importance of compassion, service, and collective responsibility in transforming lives.

At G-MSF, one of our key areas of focus is training and education, as we believe empowering communities with knowledge and skills creates lasting change and opens doors to better opportunities for children and youth.

As we celebrated this milestone, we reaffirmed our commitment to supporting vulnerable children, empowering young people, and building stronger, more inclusive communities. Together, we can create a future where every child has hope, access to education, and the opportunity to thrive.
