Course Overview

This course supports learners preparing for responsible road use and entry-level driving opportunities. It combines road-safety knowledge, vehicle familiarisation, defensive-driving principles and supervised practical preparation.

Eligible learners seeking structured driving preparation for personal mobility or employment pathways.

Regulatory Note

Practical lessons, testing and licensing must be delivered through the appropriate approved provider and remain subject to current Kenyan legal, medical, identity and NTSA requirements.

  1. Road signs, traffic rules and responsible road use
  2. Vehicle controls, cockpit checks and safe starting
  3. Observation, positioning and defensive driving
  4. Junctions, overtaking and hazard awareness
  5. Parking, reversing and practical manoeuvres
  6. Basic vehicle care and pre-journey checks
  7. Emergency procedures and accident prevention
  8. Test preparation and licensing guidance

Entry Requirements

Minimum KCSE grade D+ as advertised for the current programme. Applicants must also meet the current Kenyan legal age, identity, medical and licensing requirements for the relevant driving category. Final admission is subject to the approved practical-training provider.
