The recent Kofi Annan Foundation Electoral Vulnerability Index highlights an estimated 84.1% risk of some form of election-related violence ahead of the 2027 General Election. This is not a prediction, but a call to action for all Kenyans to strengthen peace, unity, and social cohesion.
At Gakami Mustard Seed Foundation (G-MSF), we believe that peace begins long before elections. It starts with dialogue, inclusion, community engagement, and empowering citizens to become ambassadors of peace.
That is why in partnership with Community Relations Foundation we are proud to champion the Nairobi Women Peace Tournament—an initiative that brings women together through sports to promote peaceful coexistence, leadership, unity, and conflict prevention. By creating safe spaces for interaction and dialogue, we are helping build stronger, more resilient communities where peace becomes a shared responsibility.
We invite government agencies, development partners, civil society organizations, the private sector, and well-wishers to partner with us in expanding this initiative across Nairobi’s 17 constituencies.
Peace is everyone’s responsibility. Let us choose dialogue over division, unity over conflict, and hope over fear.
