Community Engagement

Prevention starts with us

A clean drainage system can make a big difference when the rains come.

As part of our environmental conservation and El Niño preparedness efforts, G-MSF is clearing bushes, removing waste and opening up drainage channels to allow water to flow freely and help reduce the risk of flooding. But keeping our communities safe is everyone’s responsibility.

Here is what each of us can do:

✅ Keep the drains around your home and business clear.
✅ Do not throw plastics, bottles, food waste or other rubbish into drains.
✅ Clear leaves, soil and other debris before heavy rains.
✅ Dispose of waste properly and use designated collection points.
✅ Keep waterways and riverbanks free from dumping.
✅ Encourage neighbours, businesses and institutions to keep their surroundings clean.
✅ Report blocked or dangerous drainage areas to the relevant authorities.

Prevention starts with us. A clear drain means a clear path for water.Let us work together to keep our neighbourhoods cleaner, safer and more resilient.
