
Mr. Justus Thuthi

Mr. Justus Thuthi is a Kenyan intellectual, policy researcher, and adviser specializing in business management, African affairs, and China–Africa relations. He is pursuing a PhD in business management at the University Of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS), China.
At Gakami Mustard Seed Foundation (G-MSF), Mr. Thuthi serves as the Assistant to the Chief Executive, providing strategic and operational support in advancing the Foundation's vision of empowering communities for sustainable development and environmental resilience. He plays a key role in strengthening institutional partnerships, supporting Programme development, resource mobilization, policy research, and organizational growth to enhance the Foundation's impact across Kenya.
His work contributes to G-MSF's flagship initiatives in environmental conservation and climate change mitigation, community empowerment, capacity development, education and skills training, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), women and youth empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods. He is passionate about fostering collaboration between government institutions, development partners, the private sector, and local communities to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that improve lives and build resilient communities.
Mr. Thuthi holds a bachelor’s degree in Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University and a Master's degree in Educational Management from East China Normal University (ECNU), China. He is also a member of the Youth Research Group of the Global Think Tank Network for Democracy Studies and a Visiting Scholar at the Institute of African Studies, Zhejiang Normal University. His research interests focus on public policy, governance, international cooperation, and Africa–China relations, with a strong commitment to translating research into practical solutions that promote inclusive development, environmental sustainability, and socio-economic transformation.
